My approach to art
is simple … I love colour.

BACKGROUND:
Solange was born in Montreal but has made the beautiful 1000
Islands her home for the past 35 years. She has taught classes and
given workshops in Decorative Painting at both St. Lawrence
College and The Island Artisan.

EDUCATION:
In April 1997, Solange graduated in Fine Arts at St. Lawrence College,
Brockville Campus. She still enjoys taking classes; she finds the energy
from other artists very stimulating.

MEMBERSHIPS:
Brockville Artist’ Studio.

PREFERRED MEDIA:
Solange works in watercolour,
acrylic and mixed media.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
My approach to art is simple … I love colour. Nothing gives me more
pleasure then putting just a few lines on paper and then cover the page
with colour, and sometimes a bit of charcoal or ink just to see what can develop.
