BACKGROUND
Joan Firth has been painting all her life. She comes from a family of artists. Joan began
painting in oils at an early age. After raising a family of five children, she changed to watercolors.

MEMBERSHIPS
Joan painted with Cornwall area artists and exhibited her work
with the Cornwall Art Club. Moving back to Brockville in 1976, she
took classes and joined the Brockville Artists’ Studio. Her work has
been on display at the Brockville Museum and various outlets in Brockville.
Joan is also a member of the South Grenville Guild of Fine Art,
with whom she exhibits at MERC Hall in Maitland. Her works have also
been shown at the Brockville Arts Centre and City Hall. Her paintings
hang in private homes in Canada and the United States.
