BACKGROUND

Crystal was born to Doreen and Elymer Bertrand, the middle child of 8 children.
She was born in Brockville and grew up on the Land o' Nod Road in North Augusta.

EDUCATION
She went to school up to grade 10 then took upgrading at South Grenville.
She took nursing and worked for 18.5 years at the St. Lawrence Lodge.
She is currently taking several courses at St. Lawrence College towards her fine arts
certificate and hopfully, Fine Arts Degree.

She has taught art courses at home to many seniors and children.She has had over 40 students.

Crystal has travelled over the world viewing art and paintings in many countries.
She has many painitngs in private homes around the world.

I like working in all mediums and consider myself a multi-media artist.

I don't like to limit myself because I like to paint everything.
My subjects vary from animals to landscapes.

My parents always encouraged me when they were alive and now my brother,
Dale and my sons.

I like challenging work so I work in different mediums and try new things.
I love to paint things that I feel may be gone forever.
I want to capture that moment.
