

Born and raised in Ottawa Ontario.
Have drawn and painted since the age of 3,
always interested in figurative work: originally wanted to be an illustrator or, failing
that, an animator for Walt Disney. Trained as a Cartographic/ Scientific Draftswoman
in the federal govt.
Diploma in Commercial Art and Illustration, Algonquin College,
Ottawa. Associate Degree in Fine Arts: Ontario College of Art Toronto.
Have done
everything to make a living as an artist: parade floats, set designs, designing
and
illustrating a number of books, pet/people and house portraits, graphs, charts,
scientific illustrations, commercial work, and one of my proudest achievements,
16 large scale ( 45 ft x 86 ft. ) historical mural commissions in Brockville, Athens
and Shelburne Ontario.
As a craftswoman, have designed and created award winning papier mache sculptures
now all over the world.
